31 New Facts I learned about Church History Reading the Newly Published Church History Narrative "Saints" The Standard of Truth I love the new Church History Book “Saints”! I came across so many new facts about church history that just blew my mind! The new History Narrative is so inspiring, I had to share just some of the new facts I learned reading “Saints” by creating a video highlighting 31 of the new facts. Some of the facts have never been published in Church History until now and others may be new or old depending on how much church History you have read, Some of the new facts I learned are so exciting! After reading the 700+ page book, I continued as suggested and read every footnote & reference, including the 80+ new church essays discussing the very problematic challenges in our Church History. Some facts I came across, Even after reading the essays, made me Extremely uncomfortable and I could not find answers to these concerns that are brought out in the book & essays. I have realized, there are no answers…maybe, one day, sometime in the near future they will be provided by the Church. The Book tackles some of the Key problematic issues facing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church, LDS Church): Polygamy Joseph Smith marring 14 year olds Joseph Smith Marrying 33 wives Joseph practicing Polyandry (Marrying other women who have living husbands) Joseph Smiths use of Seer stones Joseph Smith using his own Seer stone to translate the Book of Mormon Joseph Smith had many revelations that did not come to pass Zions Camp Joseph Smith Sanctioned the Danites Actions Freemasonry and the Temple Endowment The Council of Fifty (50) Blacks and the Church Joseph Smith embracing the nickname Mormonism Second coming predictions by Joseph Smith and others and much much more The video is long but its jampacked with a ton of knowledge. It’s difficult to summarize 700 pages of knowledge! – hopefully it can help you with some of your questions.
